A langur monkey. They are found all over India. Hmm, don't look too closely.
A peaceable group of langurs eating fresh leaves.
A rhesus monkey eating tourist fodder. They are much nastier than langurs. One rhesus can also scare an entire clan of langurs.
Another rhesus monkey. These are the ones they shot into space in the early days, and also the ones Harry Harlow tortured to come to some useful understandings of human psychology.
Sunburn would seem to affect other mammals besides humans. Or maybe he's embarrassed for that first langur.
An Indian squirrel. They are found across the continent, and are actually quite cute. They whistle like birds, hop around like chimpmunks, and steal peanuts like urban squirrels.
A treefrog in Goa.
A hornbill, on the grounds of the Taj Mahal. I guess they won't get eaten there.
A deer in the Sasan Gir Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat state. This is where the last stand of Asian lions lives. I only saw footprints...
A croc at Sasan Gir. They did not act hungry...
Near Sasan Gir is a large tree where fruitbats roost. They come from a 30 kilometer radius to roost here, and it is quite screechy as they jockey for position all day.
