Mr and Mrs Motegi are getting ready to see me off. Hmm, why do they look so happy? It's true that the Japanese people are quite friendly and welcoming.  The local summer palace for a past big wheel. It's one of the area's nicest sites. School children befriending a western tourist. A school camping group. Who's the pale gaijin in the center? A Shinto ceremony proceding along a village street. A good luck figure in the ceremony. The couple who picked me up on the first day of hitching, and treated me to lunch, a hot springs visit, and then drove me to the campground!
